Challenge Discovery builds stronger teams and better relationships through carefully designed programs that have been tested, refined and proven through time. We can also design a custom program to meet the special needs of your organization.

VENTURE OUT!

Increases team skills + builds individual self-confidence

Venture Out! is a fun, experiential and effective way to bring people together to build a cohesive team. In Venture Out!, 2/3 of your program will be focused on "low ropes" activities on our ropes course. These are problem-solving activities on the ground that require team members to listen to each other, make decisions together and rely on each other to accomplish the task. The other 1/3 of your program will be focused around a "high ropes" activity (we have six different climbing activities designed for this portion of the program). These events help team members push past their perceptions of what they can do while they are being supported physically and emotionally by their team, resulting in more self-awareness and higher self-esteem. VENTURE UP!

Individual effort + team support = pushing people past their self-imposed limits

The primary focus of Venture Up! is on our high-adventure climbing events, so if your group enjoys a challenge that's a little more physical, this is the program for you! We begin with a series of warm-up activities to get us going and then proceed to "low ropes" and "high ropes" events on our ropes course. Much climbing, jumping, swinging and balancing will add to the fun and adventure. In Venture Up!, participants use their team to support their efforts to go beyond what they think they can do. Venture Up!:

HIGH ROPES CHALLENGE

Challenges the individual + constantly increases the stakes

While many of our Challenge Discovery programs emphasize the team, this one is all about the challenging each individual, while inspiring them with encouragement from their team members. In the High Ropes Challenge, 12 traverses are linked together, suspended 40 feet high in the treetops, and end with a zip-line. In the High Ropes Course, each participant has the opportunity to challenge themselves at his or her own level. Although the High Ropes Course is often perceived as a highly physical endeavor, much of the hard work of this course takes place "between the ears." The High Ropes Challenge:

TEAM ADVENTURE

Fun climbing event + team problem-solving challenge

Your entire team will become energized by this fun and exciting group climbing adventure, which we like to say is like Venture Out supersized. By encouraging teammates through our exotic Lily Pads, Team Adventure gives participants a number of opportunities to amaze themselves, support their teammates, and have the satisfaction of seeing their team through a difficult task. Team Adventure:

TEAMING THE TEACHERS

Stronger relationships + more supportive teams = better teachers

At Challenge Discovery, we realized some years ago that teachers have a lot to teach each other as well as their students. That's why we created Teaming the Teachers to facilitate the process of teachers sharing their wealth of experience, information and teaching ideas with each other.

During Teaming the Teachers, our facilitators come to your school and lead your team through a sequence of events, either indoors or outdoors. The activities give participants the opportunity to learn about each other, to work together as they problem-solve, and to lay a foundation for supporting one another throughout the school year. Our programs have a proven history of bringing teachers together to create an even more inclusive and cohesive school environment. By the end of the program, your group will be well on its way to working more effectively as a true team.

Teaming the Teachers Fast Facts
Program length: Partial-day (2-3 hours) or half-day (4 hours)

Cost: $500 group rate plus $10 per person
