Join us on June 10th.
Who should participate and why?
For over 30 years our programming has made a difference in the way Richmonder’s see their world. We are looking for people who are passionate or at least interested in discovering the true value of a difficult team challenge. Anyone seeking adventure, self-discovery, and personal growth. We are not an adventure camp or a cake walk. Our experiences are challenging by design, and for good reason – they help people realize their true potential and inspire team growth.
What will the flow be like?
For one day you will be immersed in an experience with people whom you do not know. In the morning, you will be encouraged to build purposeful and meaningful relationships quickly in order to succeed. Once bonded, your newly minted team will be presented with a variety of challenges with the requirement that everyone’s skills and capabilities are leveraged. After a quick break for lunch, your team will embark on the adventure that is the Odyssey Course: A two-level high ropes course (the length of a football field) with eight different “team” challenges — Each one will test every person’s individual limits and each teams’ ability to understand and leverage them. You will be pushed outside your comfort zone and your team will have to live in the learning zone in order to progress.
What can you expect to gain from it?
You can expect to be exhausted and exhilarated at the same time. You will have newfound relationships with like minded people. You will appreciate how quickly you will be able to bond with complete strangers. Your team will treasure a real feeling of accomplishment. You will admire the new you. The you who questioned what was probably not possible at the beginning of it all. You will come to realize the value of supporting other team members and valuing their opinions. Most importantly, you’ll come to realize what ends in tranquility and appreciation has to begin with 9 hours of challenge and reward and perseverance and acceptance. You’ll realize what you can endure with patience. And achieve with teamwork.
